Bronze is an alloy of copper. There are different formulations of bronze, but what we use is 11% tin and 89% copper. All of the metals we use are nickel and lead free. This includes sterling silver, 14k gold-filled, copper, and bronze.
Bronze, copper, and sterling jewelry will patina over time. Some people don’t mind the bronze patina-it makes it look old-which in some cases is desirable. If it’s not for you, bring the bronze back to its golden hue by using a copper polish, such as Wright’s copper cream (available at most grocery stores or amazon.com and also works great for copper jewelry items).
Sterling silver can be polished with a silver cleaning dip or a yellow polishing cloth.
*Take care in avoiding porous gemstones and any intentionally blackened metal, as most polishes will dull the stones and remove the blackening.
We make every single item by hand, but we try very hard to have each item on our website in stock so that we can ship on the same day or the next day that you place your order. Occasionally we will have to make your item. In that case it may take an additional 1-2 business days to ship-but we will let you know if that does happen.
We ship USPS Priority unless you request a less expensive shipping option. The standard ship time ranges from 1-3 business days unless you are outside of the U.S.

We use gold filled and sterling silver chains and ear wires (the items that come in close contact with skin). Those metals will not turn your skin. Bronze and copper items like rings, or a very tight wide cuff bracelet, which touch skin and may cause sweating, may or may not turn skin green or grey depending on a person’s body chemistry. It is not harmful if it does and is easily removed with soap and water.
You will receive each piece of jewelry ready to be wrapped in a small organza or velvet drawstring pouch inside of a gift box. We also include in the gift box our artist card, which includes our name, short biography, and care instructions for the jewelry. Let us know if it is a gift and we’ll put an organza ribbon on the box!
